Grand Cliff Top Walk

Explore the magnificent World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park with a 19km hike spread over 2 days along the newly opened Grand Cliff Top Walk, which seamlessly links Wentworth Falls, Leura, and Katoomba. You'll discover Aboriginal culture, spectacular lookouts, countless waterfalls, and unique Blue Mountains villages.

Listen for the call of yellow-tailed black cockatoos, named Wumbarrung in Gundungurra language. Wumbarrung is the wayfinding icon for this walk. Significant to traditional custodians, its flight reflects the moods and seasons of Gundungurra Country.

The hike starts at Wentworth Falls and finishes at Katoomba.

Duration: 2 days, 1 or 2 nights.

Distance: 19km Grade 3 – some bushwalking experience required.

Cost: It is free and available all year round.

 

Day One Itinerary:

Wentworth Falls to Leura – 11km

Start at Wentworth Falls village and take Darwins walk down into the Blue Mountains National Park. Follow heritage trails, take in the majesty of Wentworth Falls, pass under an overhanging cliff, and have the opportunity to explore the beautiful village of Leura when you end the day at Gordon Falls.

Day Two Itinerary:

Gordon Falls to Katoomba – 8km

Day 2 starts at Gordon Falls, make your way along cliff-edge tracks with stunnign views over Jamison Valley towards Mount Solitary. Cross Buttenshaw Bridge and pass waterfalls, lookouts and the iconic Three Sisters Aborignal place. Your journeys ends at Scenic World in Katoomba.
